Scriptural Code of Conduct
As Officers, Directors, Advisors, Employees, Interns or Volunteers of Anchor House Christian Ministries, we hold ourselves to the following Scriptural Code of Conduct and agree that it requires no more than the Christian lifestyle sets forth in the Word of God. This Code of Conduct does not say that perfection is expected but that we instead commit to maintaining a highly ethical, Godly standard that will please Christ in our Christian walk.
- We will love God with all of our heart, soul, mind and strength.
- We will love our neighbors as we love ourselves and treat them with respect by building up rather than judging and tearing down.
- We will recognize the authority of God and His delegated authority of our established leaders, by choosing behavior that will encourage Godliness, peace, reconciliation and submission to Godly counsel.
- We will actively seek to grow spiritually and consistently demonstrate the gifts and fruit of the Holy Spirit.
- We will dedicate ourselves to generous, faithful Christian service and stewardship.
- We will maintain sexual purity in and out of marriage, defining that marriage as ordained by God, is the union of one man and one woman. No other will be condoned.
- We will seek to maintain the cause of unity and harmony in the Body of Christ.
- We will dedicate ourselves to living by principles of honesty and integrity, speaking the truth at all times.
- We will refrain from:
-
- Profanity
- Over-indulging in wine or other alcoholic beverages
- Dishonest gain
- Illicit drugs
- Pornography
- Sexual immorality (sexual activity outside of marriage) Rom. 1:26-27
- All other behaviors which might cause Christ to grieve and others to stumble
